Arments have been busy!
For a few months now, Arments have not only been going about our business of making pies to our old family recipe for our loyal customers, but have also been beavering away in the pie n mash house office working on our latest project!
After a busy year:
– The award and unveiling of our Blue Plaque in March from Southwark Heritage
– Our 100th birthday upon which we were honoured to receive a letter from Buckingham Palace
– Our subsequent community Centenary celebrations in April, where we were delighted to receive special guests Rt Hon Harriet Harman and the Mayor of Southwark Cllr Sunhil Chopra
– The Pearly Princess of St Pancras Diane Gould’s visit in August, raising money for Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital,
– The premier in September of the long awaited film: Arments – The First 100 Years, by local film maker Michael Holland,
– Not forgetting the sale of Creepy Cup Cakes for Halloween raising money for The Guy’s Evelina Children’s Hospital
– And the numerous newspaper and radio interviews scattered thought the year
… we embarked upon creating Arments new website!
Arments pie n mash may be 100 years old and do much to traditional ways, however, you will see that our new website is right up to date with a fresh logo, and our social media links to Facebook, Twitter, Google Plus, The Buzz blog, news items and interesting articles, a Customer Corner where you can win a free pie, mash and liquor dinner if you are the lucky featured customer randomly chosen every month, a Fun Time page, the latest Special Offers, Pies for Parties and Events, and the launch of our Postal Pies online shop selling our pie n mash, eels and liquor along with Arments souvenirs; delivered across the UK right to your door!
