The Arments Harlem Shake
A big thank you to all the participants
Arments pie and mash shop got together to do our version of the Harlem Shake in order to raise money for Guy’s Evelina Childrens Hospital. We raised a total of £250, and had a lot of fun doing so!
Early Saturday morning March 16th 2014, an eclectic bunch of unusually early customers were seen creeping into Arments Pie and Mash shop in Westmoreland Road.
There they joined the Bakehouse boys who had also come in extra early to ensure production of the famous Arments Pie and mash remained on schedule.
By 8.30 am the sound system was in place and early morning shoppers could be seen starring through the windows at the “eclectic bunch” now sitting at tables and consuming pie and mash. Minutes later morning peace was shattered by the now infamous track from Bauer blaring out, that’s right the Harlem shake has come to Arments!
The Giant Panda kicked off proceedings by shaking his booty up the aisle of the shop and minutes later was joined by a parrot , Batman and Robin, Luke Skywalker, Sylvester the cat, a tiger with a sombrero, Barney Rubble and Wilma, Mr T, a Spitfire pilot, a magician, two builders, a bad boy, an aging rock chick, and a trio of Arments Counter Hands! As the Arments crew shook wildly, passers by were opened mouthed as they tried to comprehend what was going on!
By 9.30am all was quiet and the preparation of the shop and pie production had once again resumed!
A big thank you to all the participants:
